Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is produced by heating up the glass to its softening point, then rapiadly cooling the glass surface to form compressive stress on glass surface and tensile stress inside in order to enhance the physical strength of the glass.

Safety: When tempered glass is broken, it will crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into sharp pieces as plate glass does, thereby causing less injury to human and well protecting drivers and passengers.

High Mechanical Strength: The impact strength is 3 to 10 times that of ordinary glass. For example, when falling from a height of 2.5m to 3m above the middle of glass sample in size of 300mm*300mm*5mm, a steel ball weighing 227g will not break the glass.

Thermal Stability: The glass can endure temperatures ranging from 250℃ to 320℃.
